My Approach
There are many coaching models & techniques. At Mischief of Magpies, I deploy a variety of these to draw out the optimal experience for YOU. The time we spend together is for, and about you, and I believe a flexible and adaptive approach will help you unlock the insights you need for this stage of your journey. An approach that is fitted to you using a blend of tried and creative tools, techniques and models, and one that seeks to constantly contract to ensure the optimal fit - think of it as coaching couture.

5 Point Approach

A sample session
What we may cover in a session:
Together we agree our approach and boundaries and may discuss:
-
How are you feeling right now?
-
What do you need from today's session?
-
How can I best be present for you today?
-
What is our goal for today's session?
-
How would you like to start?
-
How far do you feel you are from your goal?
-
What are the next steps for you? How will you achieve those?
Each session will be bespoke, and will be adapted to where you are at that moment. If it's appropriate, and if you are open, we may introduce some creative techniques to help facilitate the session. Together we'll use the session to frame, and reframe as you need.
All our conversations take place in a confidential and safe space for you to explore.
Ethics
I am currently pursuing my coaching accreditation through the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC), and as such subscribe to the AoEC Code of Practice and Standards of Ethical Conduct. The coaching profession is one that is currently unregulated, and it is important that professional coaching practitioners have a set of shared values to which they hold themselves, and others within the profession, accountable. As I further my coaching career, and pursue additional accreditation and membership, I also put value in the Code of Ethics of the International Coaching Federation as well as the Global Code of Ethics of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Adherence to and familiarity with these International codes of ethics is particularly important to me given my international personal and professional background.
